I’m going to attempt to make this a regular thing, and think of a cooler name for these general update posts. I’ll be commenting on the recent poll numbers (and putting up a new one), and giving some general updates about the upcoming week on the site. So let’s get started!
I’ll be posting up the For Your Consideration ad a lot so if you’re a LAMB member please consider nominating me this year!
This week is my final week of school so I’ll be posting quite a bit on this blog after that. If you aren’t following me via Facebook or Twitter please do so! That brings us to this week’s poll. The last poll asked if you preferred me to write classic film reviews, contemporary film reviews or a mix of both:
Mix of Both (8 votes)
Classic (6 votes)
Contemporary (0 votes)
As I mentioned in my Mother’s Day review I’ll be mixing contemporary reviews in with the classic. The new poll for this week looks at a few reader requests I’ve got and asking which ones you want to see. I’ll be putting these up a lot over the summer as I have quite a few reader requests. If you have a movie, either new, old, whatever, you’d like me to watch and review drop me a comment.
I’m still giving away a copy of Bernard F. Dick’s books Hollywood Madonna – Loretta Young. There’s only been one entry and I’d love to give away more stuff but I need to know people will actually enter so if you haven’t drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and the subject Loretta Young Giveaway. I’ll be closing the contest on the 19th!
Most of this week will see me getting done with school and graduating (I know officially hold a Bachelor’s in English) so there might be a slow day or two this week. Next week will see the start of the Leading Man Tournament and the great intro written by Monty over at All Good Things!
