Another Halloween is upon us here at Journeys in Classic Film and there’s a lot of fun on the horizon!
I’ve been hoping to have consistent content out Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday but if you haven’t noticed I’m running behind. School is in full-swing and I’m juggling a lot of movie-watching and book reading for my various writing projects as well as schoolwork, so bear with me as I transition and catch-up.
The month of October is Halloween central here with my 2nd annual 31 Days of Halloween. I’ll be posting daily reviews Monday-Friday, so not quite 31 Days but the basic principle remains. The always amazing folks at Kino have supplied me with a few Blu-rays for review, all in the horror genre so look for reviews from the Mario Bava Collection, Bela Lugosi, and Dennis Hopper!
Book reviews will hopefully be weekly, but they could turn into bi-weekly depending on the speed of my book reading, but I have a lot of books reviews to share with you!
The Lombard Cup that I’m co-hosting with Monty of All Good Things is winding down, and while I think I’ll be losing it was a fun ride to take. I hope to start up my Leading Lady/Man tourney in the New Year, in case you were wondering.
Hope you guys enjoy the new Halloween-themed header! I’m hoping to have a review of I Married a Witch on Blu-ray in the coming days, so Veronica is always happy to have Halloween here!
I'm a college student getting my Master's in English, but dreams of getting an additional degree in Film. I'm a movie reviewer for several sites, but I also write classic film reviews for several other sites. I stretch myself pretty thin these days. You can usually find me at a bookstore, or a movie theater. I dream of the day when the two are combined. I base a lot of my friendships on favorite movies.
