The Lake Update for August 2015
Lots happening this month if you didn’t see the post glued to the top of the site! I decided to abruptly jump back into the world of blogathons by taking over this year’s Summer Under the Stars Blogathon! This has been a huge undertaking that, coupled with the conclusions of the July Five and all the review content I have to get through the other sites I work for, has exhausted me. But I’m not complaining! The response for the blogathon has been AMAZING, especially since it all came together in a week, and Warner Archive has graciously offered to supply prizes for the event! (What I’m saying is, if you haven’t jumped on this yet, you might want to.)
With that being said, I’ll be spending this month keeping you up-to-date on all the awesome content being put out by the blogathon participants, so look for my voice to be a taste quiet. Now Voyaging has kicked off the event with a must-see guide to Summer Under the Stars and that might be standing in for my monthly TCM Top Ten this year. (And, in all honesty, there are so many amazing films out this month, counting out ten would be ridiculous.) If you’re on Twitter, I’ll be hosting four #TCMParties throughout the month, giving away random DVDs from Warner Archive, so if you miss me, be sure to head over there.
Even though I’ll be posting blogathon updates, I’m going to take this month to get some of my review content under control in other areas, and hopefully come back refreshed in September (my birthday!). We’re creeping up to four years since JCF has been in business and no one else finds that more surprising than me!
I’m excited to share this Summer Under the Stars with you all!
